About Us

Maybe you just loved to ride, where your bike gave you the independence that maybe your car gives you today. Or did you simply love the adrenaline rush of the BMX track or mountain bike racing down hill.
For over 50 years of my life I have ridden a bike, racing BMX in the early 80′s, competing in the first two Australian Mountain Bike Championships, racing as an A Grader with Blackburn Cycling Club, competing in the Look Short Course Triathlon Series and, still today, training 300-400kms a week to race with Southern Vets. To say that I live, sleep and breathe bikes is an understatement and even after more than 30 years in the industry I still love the vibrancy and innovation that the Cycling World entails.
The first Bicycle Superstore was opened in 1986, in Dandenong, Victoria. It quickly became an icon in the bicycle industry, with people from all over traveling to experience the huge range and great service we offered. As time went on, it became obvious that people were starting to want the convenience of shopping closer to home. To keep up with this new customer demand, we opened our second store in Nunawading in 1996. More stores have followed over the years with many stores now open throughout Victoria and over the border in NSW.
Today, our size and industry know-how enables us to buy the best products, from the best brands, at the best prices. Our mechanics are industry trained so you’ll be well looked after when your bike needs servicing and repairs.
Every person, from the people that we grant franchises to, the wholesalers that we partner ourselves with, to the athletes we sponsor, the sales people and mechanics, reflect the ethics and morals that build our business culture. Ultimately, you have a group of enthusiasts who make their livelihood from sharing their passion for cycling.
My true desire has always been to have “screaming fans” of Bicycle Superstore. I hope you’ll be one of them.
